[REVIEW] Oriflame's Pure Color Pressed Powder - Light

Hello Girls... Back again here...

Now I want to share about my just-bought product from Oriflame brand. This product is called as Oriflame Pure Color Pressed Powder in shade Light (code: 23208). In this post, I'll review and swatch the product on my inner hand and not on my face. So please keep reading!

I'll explain first that this product has two variants of color as a choice. But, seeing the darker and a little bit ashy color of Medium on the catalog, I feel that Light is the most suitable for me. I have NC30 skintone (based on MAC skintone chart. I bet MAC skintone chart is used worldwide in makeup world in general!)

Here's the pics of the products:

From the package itself comes with the standard and classic shiny black container. How to open is just twisting the black cap. Inside, there's a little mirror on back of the cap which makes it handy if you have to retouch at anytime. It comes with a standard and thin sponge. I don't like the sponge either since it is too thin and I rather to choose the rubber sponge that I got as a spare (but for sure the cap will not close properly because it has no more space available for the thicker sponge - haha!)

As seen above, the color in Light has the yellowish color which suits for NC25-30 (or bit fairer) I guess, for majority in Asia's skin tone. I, myself, am also in NC30. It has a floral scent. I assume it is ylang flower scent. It actually is calming and relaxing for me and kind of an aromatherapy. I like it. But I don't know to any of you who don't like make up product with scents will like it or not because the scent it self is a little bit strong.

The product claim itself is able to help soften the skin, containing minerals, light formula, and for oily and combination skin.

Ok, now is for the swatches:

The pic above is the view of my inner hand right after the application. I applied the powder about two or three standard layers without any moisturizer and foundation or anything as a base. You can see that my skin looks different, between the normal one and with the application one. The difference still can be seen enough even if you don't pay attention to it, maybe a little bit like a mask... But waaaaiiittt!!!!!

I coincidentally left it like that for almost 5 to 10 minutes. Then it amazingly blended with my skin... Really I almost couldn't differentiate which one was with this product's application and which wasn't. Even without any base product covered before the powder, I no longer noticed any of the mosquito bites on my skin. It is covered just perfectly! It beautifies!  I wonder what if I use moisturizer and foundation before applying the powder, I thought it must gave a flawless finish.

Well, that's it for the product review and swatch for this time. See you in the next post.

Love,

Hello, what do you think about holding the sebum? Is it reliable?

  2. Hello Melvina,
I don't think it has a good defense against sebum. According to my aunty who wears it, the defense will only hold sebum up to 2 or 3 hours before you need blotting. But, I don't know about other people. I have thought that it can give different result to different people.
