Who’s not ready for summer? I am! So, dark lips always have been my favorite lately because, I don’t know, I just like to be the center of attention (?). LOL. Right now, I want to share you about my take on Maybelline Color Show Lipstick in 403 Plum Perfect. Check it out!
Actually, I have taken these all photos months ago and barely had a chance to post it since I forgot which multimedia card it’s saved, until not so long ago I found it.
I have several of dark lippies in my stash at the moment but this one is the most wearable dark lips I can pull off in the middle of the day.

~ PACKAGING ~
It comes with plain black glossy body. Actually it has a seal which pretty much simple so I thought it was imprinted on the body. But once the seal has opened, the lipstick seemed “naked”.
In the middle between the cap and the body, there’s a color indicator which eases you to recognize what color inside. At the bottom of the body, you’ll find an information sticker that leads you to know what number and color name the lipstick is. Overall, nothing much attractive.

~ COLOR AND TEXTURE ~
Well, yes.. The color itself is definitely a plum. The deepest plum from its range. The opacity is rather medium since I find the color is suitable for daily use. Even so, it still appears a lot more pink on me. I don’t know why but everytime I try to pull a purple lipstick on my lips, it always appears a lot more pink on me than on someone else I see wearing the same shade of lipstick.
I notice the texture is moisturizing, yet it’s not as moisturizing as the Color Sensational range. Since the color represents the pigmentation, so an average pressure of application can do the smoothness and opacity of the color. Although the opacity is medium but it’s good enough to cover my lips’ pigmentation ring.

Since Maybelline is considered as drugstore brand, so I guess it will be a lot easier to find it. It’s available in Watson’s and Guardian as long as I notice. Talking about price? Hmm, it’s very cheap! Almost in one range in every price of local brands. It’s RP30,000 (approx. US$2).

~ MY VERDICT ~
Maybelline is on the those drugstore brand which gives the wide range of products. This Color Show range is somewhat giving the eye-pop because the more cheerful color of choice. For this plum shade, I wish it had a more deep color since it is the most deep color in the Color Show’s lipstick range. Even so, I like the fact that the color is somewhat pretty wearable during daily use.
It’s wrap! Please do leave your comment so I can know what your thought about this lipstick. See you on the next post!
