Hello Sugarbabies, how’s your day? I hope you’re all fine!
So this is the new lipstick that I’ve tried during the last week and this one is the part of the haul that I made in the last month of last year.
~ PRODUCT ~
It’s called FACE2FACE. The brand itself is some kind of the new kids on the blocks and I’ve never heard about it before. All I know is this is manufactured by PT. Anugrah Familindo Utama and distributed by CV. Karya Mandiri.
I’ve searched in the internet but there’s nothing official found about the brand. As far as I found, the official website was lacking of information so I couldn’t give any at-a-glance line here. Some information that I found was it is a local production which meant 100% Indonesia! I’m happy that I’ve stumbled upon something local like this.
~ PACKAGING ~
When I received this product, the lipstick came with the thin carton box as the outer packaging with black matte color and the FACE2FACE is embossed in one side of the carton vertically. The lipstick case itself is somewhat like a normal lipstick case: all black color with the matte black paint all over the body. The little glossy line in the middle was made as an accessories. The funny thing is there’s no any of its brand name imprinted. All that I found was only the F2F symbol on the top of cap and the sticker on the shade name on bottom case.
Once I opened the cap, there it was the brand imprinted with white paint. I feel like it’s playing hide and seek. LOL. The feel that I got was it’s sure a plastic material and it was a cheap one. It’s not sturdy but it doesn’t matter anyway. The content is 3,8gr which I found a little bit lesser than any general lipstick which reached 4gr.
~ TEXTURE and FORMULA ~
Well, since this is a moisturizing lipstick, I don’t expect some long lasting effects from it. But for sure the texture of the lipstick is good enough. I mean, it does thug that makes the application needs a little bit of pressure.
The formula itself is so moisturizing the lips. I feel it after several minutes of application. From the carton box, I also found that it contains Almond Oil and Vitamin E which I assume as the main ingredients.
~ COLOR CHOICE and PIGMENTATION ~
Rumor has it that the line of the lipstick from FACE2FACE has 16 colors. But, since the information that I got here is not official, so please correct me if I’m wrong. As far as I knew, I only found 5 colors of it. And if one of the brand’s staff read it, I beg you that you must provide some valid information through your official website so people could easily browse it.
The color that I chose was VINTAGE NUDE because I’m crazy about neutral lips these days. The pigmentation of Vintage Nude is somewhat amazing for me. The terms of nude lip color lipstick matches mine, it has brown/chocolate tone to it. I mean, it’s a light brown color, I suppose, and with a little bit of rosy undertone in it. Though I need some couple layers to get the coverage that I want but in fact it really gives the medium to full coverage.
~ PRICE and PRODUCT AVAILABILITY ~
The price itself is around Rp30,000 to Rp35,000. I forget how much exactly it was. But as far as I remember, this one costs not more than Rp50,000.
Though I couldn’t find any official information, this FACE2FACE product can be easily found online. You can check some Indonesia’s e-commerce websites on the internet or check their instagram account @f2f.cosmetics and order through it.
~ VERDICT ~
One that I must say to this VINTAGE NUDE is: Thanks GOD! I found that this is the perfect nude lip color to suit my liking! It reminds me of Make Over’s pencil lipstick in Nude. The color does suit my skin tone well. It isn’t really looking too pale, or too peachy, or too light, or anything that will wash out my tan skin. I admit that it’s quite hard to find the perfect nude lip color or my-lips-but-better (MLBB) color. I know I have a little bit high qualification. LOL.
The other thing is, I really like the fact that it moisturizes my lips well though the feeling upon using this lipstick was like wearing a lip balm. But, I think it doesn’t matter to me anyway. And the price tag? Don’t complain. Just. Don’t. It’s cheap enough to know that you’ll get something more than the cost you pay for a lipstick.
Well, all in all, this is a good product that must be tried. I already set my eyes to another color but just let it go inside my wishlist book because I have still many lipsticks queuing in the future.
