Update With Me #1: An Interview With God

Morning sunshines!!!

Well, actually, I am not gonna give you the moanday or mournday in this Monday. But, since I got my drawer cleaned the other day, I found the good quote that I got from one of my best friend’s favorite book. This is not a beauty post. It’s something that always is my favorite quote all the time.

So have you ever feel that you get something that basically moves your heart? Something that suddenly makes your heart feels & whispers “Oh My God..”?

I have…

This quote is my FIRST self contemplation, I got it way back when I was still in the junior high school.

So I had a best friend, her name was Rindi Setia Prihatni. She totally was a smart girl and I was always happy when having a conversation with her. She was the one who introduced me to the internet and right now I have a very tight relationship with it. She was the one who taught me about reading: comics and motivational books mostly.

She also was the one who cried with me talking about our first love back then when we were on the way home from Yogyakarta, after study tour. She was the one who said “Happy Valentine’s Day” for the first time in my life, and from it I could understand if there is a such day. And the ultimate one, she was the one who told me about this quote.

Ok, maybe she was not literally really the one, but her book “A cup of tea for the Soul” (I couldn’t barely remember which exact series of it) was successfully give me a light bulb moment in life, and after that, this always be there in my diary,, just to remember our friendship.. Now she has rested in peace. She passed away in such a young age because diabetes has got her.

AN INTERVIEW WITH GOD

I dreamed, I had an interview with God.

“So, you would like to interview ME?” God asked.
“If YOU have time.” said I.
God smiled. “MY time is eternity. What question do you have in mind for ME?”
“What surprises YOU the most about humankind, my LORD?”

God answered.
“That they get bored with childhood, that they rush to grow up, and then long to be children again.
“That they lose their health to make money and then their money to restore their health.
“That by thinking anxiously about the future, they forget the present, such that they live in neither the present nor the future.
“That they live as if they would never die and die as though they had never lived.”

God’s hands took mine and we were silent for a while. And then I asked, “As a parent, what are some of life’s lessons YOU want YOUR children to learn?”
God replied,
“I want them to learn that they can’t make anyone love them. All they can do is let themselves be loved.
“To learn that it only takes a few seconds to open a profound wound in those they love, and it can take many years to heal them.
“To learn that the rich person isn’t the one who has the most but the one who needs the least.
“To learn that there are people who love them dearly, but simply do not yet know how to express or show their feelings.
“To learn that two people can looka at the same thing and see it differently.
“To learn that it is not enough that they forgive one another but they must also forgive themselves”

“Thank YOU for YOUR time, my LORD,” I said humbly. “Is there anything else YOU would like YOUR children to know?”

God smiled, and said, “Just know that I AM here… always.”

I always pray you the best, sis…. May you always rest in peace..

Best Love,
Revenian.
